This is a Blender addon which will allow you to snap or match IK controls to FK controls and vice versa.
If you find any bugs, then please let me know by raising an issue at https://github.com/Mystfit/IK-FK-Snapping-for-Blender
Instructions:
- Install the addon.
- Bring up the properties panel in the 3D view (N key) and open the FK/IK Snap tab.
- In the FK/IK bones panel, enter the name of the armature you want to target in the Armature field.
- Add the upper, lower and end FK control bones. For an arm, this might be FK Upper->Arm, FK Lower: Forearm, FK End: Hand.
- Add the IK chain bones to IK upper, IK lower and IK end. The upper and lower bones are the bones that your IK constraint is currently driving. IK end will most likely be your IK control bone that manipulates the IK chain. IK Effector will be your main IK control.
- After setting all of the bones, use the Limb presets button in the upper right of the FK/IK bones panel to save these bones to a preset. If you wish to switch between limbs that you want to snap, you can choose between your saved presets.
- Click Snap IK to FK or Snap FK to IK to snap one set of controls to the other.
- If you want the script to automatically snap and key your controls for you over a frame range, check the Key across frame range option and enter a start and end frame.
